PROTECTION

“We’ve got MFA.”
That’s the start of the question.

ILLUSTRATIVE CONTROL REVIEW
Methods registeredAvailable
Policy requires MFAReview the gap

Registration ≠ enforcement

Having MFA available and requiring it at sign-in are different things. A healthy registration figure can hide a policy gap.

The next move

Review who and what the policies cover, including exclusions. Agree the change before your team implements it.

“Here’s the gap. Here’s who it affects. Here’s what we recommend.”
COST & EFFICIENCY

“We need all these licences.”
Let’s see what they’re doing.

ILLUSTRATIVE LICENCE REVIEW

A cost worth questioning.

A licence is easy to assign and easy to forget. Quontiant surfaces waste signals across Microsoft licences and Azure resources.

The next move

Check whether the user or resource still needs it, and what would be affected by a change. Recommend savings with the context behind them.

“This spend deserves a review. Let’s establish what you still need.”
COMPLIANCE

“Can you prove it?”
Bring more than a tick in a box.

An insurance answer needs a basis. Combine the configuration Quontiant can assess with attestations and the tools protecting the tenant.

The next move

Review the readiness picture, fill in missing context and assemble evidence for the conversation with your client or broker.

“Here’s what supports the answer—and what still needs checking.”

Readiness evidence supports a review; it does not guarantee insurance acceptance or certification.

RISK

Where are we exposed?
Review stale guest access.

ILLUSTRATIVE RISK REVIEW
Guest still active.Does access still belong?
Permission granted. Is the scope too broad?
Service reachable.Should it be public?

Guest access can outlast the project or relationship it was created for.

The next move

Confirm the owner and ongoing need, then agree which guest accounts or permissions should be removed.

“Here’s where we’re exposed, and what we should investigate first.”
OPERATIONS

Will the service hold up?
Review backup coverage.

ILLUSTRATIVE OPERATIONS REVIEW

The presence of a backup service does not establish that every important workload is protected.

The next move

Check which workloads are covered and review gaps against business recovery needs.

“Here’s what supports continuity, and where recovery needs a closer look.”
FINANCIAL IMPACT

Connect data gaps to business risk.

Gap identified.What is the impact?

A control gap affecting sensitive information can have consequences beyond the technical fix.

The next move

Identify the business context and use it to explain why the remediation deserves attention.

“Here’s why this technical work deserves a place in the business priorities.”

What will my client need to approve?

A tenant administrator grants the published read permissions through Microsoft Entra. Review the full permissions and their purpose before granting consent.

Does Quontiant fix the findings automatically?

No. It finds and prioritises issues using read-only access. Your team chooses what to change and carries out the remediation.
